I'm Back

Wow, talk about a long break huh??!?!?!?   Well as you know life can take over and time flies by without even realizing.  I know my last post was about a photo shoot and guess what...  I got a hold of a GREAT photographer and I am scheduling my shoot for early December.  I know having a date on the calendar will really motivate me to stay on track!  I've got my diet back in full swing and I am taking a different approach to working out.  Here is my breakdown:
1.  Diet plan with Dr. DelRae
2.  2 workouts a month at Discover Strength (a totally different workout that I LOVE)!!!
3.  1 workout a week with GST
4.  Tuesday's Yoga at work
5.  Make sure each morning I have a PowerHour including a workout!

Also, last Monday I got my baseline with the BodPod and overall I am excited about my results for the bas past few months I have been having.  I am officially at 13.8% BF  I need to tone up the muscle I do have and continue to eat clean and I will be in photo shape before I know it!!!  So excited!

Photo Shoot Anyone???

So in order to set a date on my fitness goal  I have made the decision to do a "fitness photo shoot".  Originally I was going to do a "fitness"/bikini competition to put a final date on my goal.  I think by having a date on the books drives me to be more strict with myself.  However, the more that I looked into these competitions the harder I knew it would be.  First of all, the thought of getting on stage with other women who are probably twice as dedicated as I, sprayed tanned, in a crazy "bling" suit almost makes me laugh.  I was ready to do this in my mind, but knew I would be totally out of my comfort zone.  I was looking into a bikini competition rather than fitness since the body fat was slightly higher, however, I think I was missing one other qualification no matter how perfect my body.... my chest would not be able to compete ;)    The second factor was the next bikini competition in MN was not until next year and that is a long time to train and I wanted to shoot for something sooner. 

Anyways, after talking this through with some people I have decided to do a photo shoot to put a similar goal on the calendar and then document my experience.  I know this also may sound corny and might also be out of my comfort zone, but it is more me!  I am looking to set a date in late September/early October.  I think this will give me the time to build my muscle and lean up.   I am trying to convince Jeff to beef up a little and join me in my pursuit of optimal health and document it ;) 

Well I better hit the gym.

A Second Beginning

I had great intentions of starting this blog about 4 weeks ago and what do you know I didn't.  But, today is my new start, my second beginning.

I am officially restarting my self revolution.  You may wonder what this all consists of and the truth is I am not completely sure where the boundaries have been set.  My goals need to be defined, but I am working hard at finding what my true passion is to live an"On Purpose"life.  

The first step in this process was to restructure my life in the Health and Fitness category.  This is something I find fascinating, but have never really established a goal for myself.  About 4 weeks ago I started a coaching program with Dr. DelRae to revamp my eating habits and kick start my Health/Fitness Revolution.  So far, the program has been fantastic and I am achieving good results.  I realize I need to start toning and have begun weight training to help achieve optimal results.  

The other areas of my revolution include work, family, and most important my faith.  I realize these are the building blocks of my life and need to continue to focus my energy and time there.  Keep checking back for a list of my defined goals and progress as I begin MY REVOLUTION!
